What to Expect

Itinerary:

  1. Arrival and Introduction – Meet your instructor, get fitted with gear, and receive an overview of the lesson.

  2. Safety Briefing & Surf Basics – Learn ocean safety, surf etiquette, paddling, standing, and wave selection.

  3. Warm-Up & Dry Land Practice – Practice pop-ups and balance on land to prepare for the water.

  4. Surfing Experience – Head into the ocean, catch waves, and refine your technique.

  5. First Wave Achievement – Your instructor guides you through your first successful ride.

  6. Continued Practice – Improve balance, turns, and wave timing while having fun and connecting with the ocean.

We meet at a public beach park on the North Shore of Oahu. The specific beach is selected based on that day’s water conditions to ensure the best and safest experience. We’ll let you know where to meet on the day of your lesson.

7) What should I bring to my lesson?

We provide everything you need, including surfboards and rash guards. Just wear your bathing suit, and plan to leave your valuables locked in your car, as we’ll be out in the water the whole time.

8) What is your cancellation policy?

Lessons can be canceled up to 72 hours in advance for a full refund. We understand that plans can change, so we allow for one reschedule if you need to adjust your timing.

9) Do you offer discounts for multiple lessons?

Yes! Many of our clients regret booking a lesson on the last day of their trip because they want to go again. If you book additional lessons during the same trip, we offer a discount on the second (and any subsequent) lessons to help you make the most of your time in Hawaii.

10) Do you offer accommodations?

Yes, we have a beautiful studio available for guests who want to enjoy a multi-day surf experience. It’s perfect for individuals or couples looking to enjoy some time on the North Shore of Oahu.
